1. For windows laptop,it is plug and play.Please check if the security on your network that was preventing the docking station from establishing a connection. And take the ethernet off of DHCP and set it to manual only, and also, not on Automatic location but a fixed location.
2.For MacBook needs to be set up as follows:
System Preferences - + Network - + Click "+" to create a new service - + Select US B 10/1 00/1 000 LAN-→Create→Application (Click on the application to show USB USB 10/100/1 000 LAN Green, connected successfully), The Macbook is accessed via wired internet at this time.
